The story of IrWise began with a deeply personal experience. Mohamed Makki, our co-founder, faced a challenging period when his late father became bedridden due to a debilitating illness. During this time, the family farm suffered from declining yields, as managing it became increasingly difficult without a reliable system in place.

This experience, combined with our shared passion for technology, inspired us to take action. Recognizing the pressing need for a solution, we teamed up to develop a remote-controlled irrigation system that could empower farmers to manage their fields more efficiently, even from a distance.

As we delved deeper into the development process, we gained a profound understanding of the daily challenges farmers face—challenges that often go unnoticed and unaddressed. Through countless conversations and interactions with farmers, we realized the magnitude of two critical issues plaguing modern agriculture: water scarcity and high operational costs.

These issues aren’t just obstacles—they’re existential threats to sustainable farming. Driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact, we set out to design a system that not only simplifies irrigation but also helps farmers conserve water and reduce costs.

Our mission goes beyond technology; it’s about empowering farmers with practical, innovative tools that bring relief, efficiency, and sustainability to their work.
